Reignite the Spark with a Sexy Heart2Heart Talk This Valentine’s Day

Easily one of the MOST frustrating aspects of being a parent, is trying to have a conversation with your kid(s). Not a day goes by that I don’t see on social media, or experience myself this scenario right here:

Me: Hey, how was your day today?
6yo: Fine.
Me: Oh yeah? What was the best part of your day?
6yo: I don’t know…riding the bus, I guess.
Me: Did you learning anything cool in school?
6yo: (shoulder shrug)…Sure.

Are you kidding me right now?!? Two minutes ago I couldn’t get the kid to shut up about his Lego Ninjago set, or some Sponge Bob episode. But now that I want to know about his day, it’s like having a conversation with a mime over here.

But, if you really think about it, for as much grief as we give our kids about them not communicating with us, we parents are just as guilty when it comes to communicating with each other.

It’s said that communication is the cornerstone to any good relationship, but as most married couples with kids with tell you, after a full day of adulting (see: working, paying bills, dealing with people in the world, cleaning the house, preparing meals etc etc), when all is said and done, talking is usually the last thing you want to do after the kids are finally asleep, let alone any other kind of communicating…if you catch my drift (wink, wink). And with the advances in technology, and the desire to just zone out into our smartphones becoming a daily thing, the space between couples is only growing wider, the silence growing louder, and the spark fading out.

I think it would really surprise people how much there is still to learn about their partner; and all it takes is a simple heart to heart talk. That’s where the good people at TiffinTalk come in.

TiffinTalk, the creators of the amazing conversation starter cards for parents and kids (of all ages), as well as a wide range of card sets for counselor and mental health professionals, are now trying to save that dwindling spark, and get couples talking again.

Their new Heart2Heart set is a set of 69 (see what they did there, wink wink) cards that are fun, sexy, talk-provoking, and meant to build a stronger relationship between couples.

My wife and I have been together for almost 12 years, and to say that we’ve learned everything there is to know about each other, would be ridiculous. And the 12 years haven’t always been smooth sailing, or easy going. Why? Because we’re humans, and we’re always changing and growing.  But if we’re not communicating, all that changing and growing is doing, is creating a divide between us.

And it’s not just what’s inside the cards, or the sexy suggestions that make these cardsmazing; it’s also the stunning artwork on each of them. Each of the 69 cards has an original picture celebrating love. Whether it’s love between partners, love between friends, or simply love for one’s self, each card is letting you know…communicating, if you will, the beauty in love.

When I told my wife about this campaign, and what the product was, she thought it was a really cool idea. So much so, that I stumbled up this little beauty today:

Well, I’m not going to get into details, but…let’s just say that laundry got folded…a few times.

That’s what these cards are all about – having a conversation, and having fun with your partner. Life is too hectic, and we give far too much of our down time to technology. Let’s get back to spending time with our significant others. This Valentine’s Day, and every day going forward, let’s do it like TiffinTalk says, “Tech off. Talk on.” Because talk is sexy.

As an added bonus, TiffinTalk is running an amazing promotion. If you buy the new Heart2Heart pack between now and February 13th, enter the promo code HOLIDAY40, and you’ll get 40% off. Whoa!! 40% off, AND you get a pack of 69 cards that are guaranteed to get that spark going? That’s a hot deal.

I have partnered with 3C Consulting and TiffinTalk for this campaign. I received compensation and product for this review, but all opinions are my own.

    This bit:
“Why? Because we’re humans, and we’re always changing and growing. But if we’re not communicating, all that changing and growing is doing, is creating a divide between us.”
